Welcome to Harvey Feldman Counseling
HFC was formed to meet the therapeutic needs of the LGBTQIA+ community in New Hampshire, as well as provide general psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. My practice is generally full, but I also provide clinical consultation and training for psychotherapists, educators and health professionals. I utilize an informed consent model for letters of medical necessity for those over 18, and am a member of the GALAP network of providers.

My areas of clinical focus include anxiety and depression, minority stress, family conflict, and culturally responsive therapy. I have expertise in working with families to increase effectiveness in communication patterns as well as overall functioning.
Gender Affirming Therapy
Gender Affirming Therapy
Gender affirming therapy incorporates all the essential elements of the therapeutic relationship: listening and affirming, holding space for the client's thoughts and feelings, and partnering with clients to meet their goals. Theoretical and clinical work in this area is informed by psychodynamic principles, trans-feminist studies, and narrative therapy.

I have a clinical specialty in working with gender diverse youth (under 18) and their families. Clinical work in this area can include assessment and diagnosis of gender dysphoria, family therapy and support, and partnerships with other providers as necessary.
